Centaur Entertainment Divisions

Centaur Entertainment, Inc. is an entertainment company started in 1997. Centaur currently has three divisions, Centaur Music, Centaur Productions, and Centaur Distribution, plus an Internet store.

Centaur Music is a record label specializing in dance and pop music. The label received a Grammy Award nomination for the song 'When Will You Learn' written and performed by Boy George. Centaur Music is now releasing new singles from Donna Summer, Elton John, Kristine W & Bruce Roberts, Nanci Griffith, Lonnie Gordon, Pat Hodges and more. Centaur Music has also become the premier producer of benefit/charity albums. The recently released DANCE WITH ANGELS benefit album represents the first time that artists Madonna, Janet Jackson, Sting, Gloria Estefan, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Taylor Dayne, Barry Manilow, Billie Myers, Linda Eder and others have appeared together on an independent record label. Upcoming projects, including a benefit album for breast cancer, will again feature the biggest names in the music business.

Centaur Productions is the in-house production company. This division has two shows in active development for Broadway. The Natives Are Restless is a riveting dance-based musical that traces the history of the Hawaiian Islands as told through hula, but hula as you have never seen it before. Double Decker is a traditional American musical, the intersecting story of two disparate families searching for love, hope and reunion. Also in development is an animated feature motion picture musical Urban's Tail.

Centaur Distribution distributes both Centaur's and other companies' music throughout thousands of stores across the U.S., internationally and on the Internet. This division also acquires rights to new projects including cast recordings from Broadway shows and soundtracks from motion pictures. Centaur is proud to have obtained the soundtrack rights to the upcoming motion picture 'CIRCUIT'.

Centaur is also affiliated with Emerge Records, a new label with Grammy nominated producer, Tony Moran. Emerge focuses on new and emerging artists, writers and producers in the dance/pop genre. Emerge's first single 'Only You' by Godwin recently was a # 1 dance hit in the UK. Look for many new singles from Emerge and Centaur over the next year! Mr. Moran, who is a two-time Grammy nominee, has produced albums for Gloria Estefan and Jon Secada, plus # 1 dance remixes for Janet Jackson, Celene Dion, Cher, and more. A recent album project he produced for Marti McCutcheon in the UK went to # 1 selling over one million copies.
